Candy Cane Cookies

Candy Cane Cookies
A special Holiday Treat

I want to show you how to make candy cane cookies.

Here are your ingredients:

½ tube of refrigerated sugar cookie dough, softened,
2 table spoons of all purpose flower
½ tablespoon of peppermint extract
½ tablespoon of red food-coloring.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cookie dough, and extract until it is smooth. Divide the dough in half; mix food coloring into one portion. Shape one teaspoon of white dough into a 6-in. rope. Shape one teaspoon of red dough into a 6-in. rope. Place ropes side by side; press together lightly and twist. Place an ungreased baking sheet; curve one end of the cookie to form the handle of the cane. Repeat with the remaining dough, placing cookies 2 in. apart on baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until set. Cool for 2 minutes before carefully to wire racks. Yield: 3 dozen.

The Creation Museum

The Creation Museum

The creation museum was Amazing! We went all the way to Kentucky. But before we went to the hotel we  went to the Cincinnati museum. Then we went to the microtel. Then the next day we went to the Creation museum! It was beautiful! There were Egypt exhibits, Noah's ark exhibits, and even a petting zoo! Then we had to face the long trip home.
